Hybrid Catheterization Suites
Some newborns have the best outcomes when treated simultaneously by a catheterization cardiologist and congenital heart surgeon. The main cardiac catheterization laboratory at Norton Children’s Hospital is a “hybrid suite” to allow for these procedures. Treatments performed this way can lead to faster recovery times, less tissue damage and reduced scarring.
