Norton Children’s Cancer Institute
Winning the battle against pediatric cancer takes a team approach — a team with the strength of many disciplines to provide advanced pediatric cancer treatment.
Why Norton Children’s Cancer Institute for the cancer care of your child?
Norton Children’s Cancer Institute stands as a beacon of hope and unparalleled cancer care to families in Kentucky, Southern Indiana and beyond.
“It is easy to smile when life rolls along like a sweet song, but worthy are these children who are able to keep their smile and be joyful when things in their life have gone so wrong.”
— Ashok B. Raj, M.D.
Norton Children’s Cancer Institute was formed by combining the resources of the Addison Jo Blair Cancer Care Center at Norton Children’s Hospital with the Norton Cancer Institute and in affiliation with University of Louisville. The Norton Children’s Cancer Institute provides the latest in pediatric cancer treatments, programs for treating rare tumors and blood disorders, a bone marrow transplant program and resources to support the needs of your child and entire family.
Providing care for a lifetime. Your child deserves the advantage of cancer care from a proven team that integrates the many different disciplines of leading cancer specialists, oncologists, surgeons, nurses, social workers, chaplains, behaviorists, therapists and pharmacists.
At Norton Children’s Cancer Institute, you will find a skilled cancer care team that is completely focused on the needs of your child and your family. Our approach to cancer care provides treatment and support services that consider the effect of treatment on the entire body, not just the cancer, and is mindful of potential complications as childhood cancer survivors grow and age.
The cancer care program at Norton Children’s Hospital was first accredited in 1959 and is one of the country’s oldest children’s oncology programs continually accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer (COC). Backed by decades of pediatric expertise, our team is an excellent choice for the treatment of all forms of childhood and adolescent cancers.
