“It is easy to smile when life rolls along like a sweet song, but worthy are these children who are able to keep their smile and be joyful when things in their life have gone so wrong.”

We Treat All Forms of Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders

Whether your child experiences a rare tumor or a blood disorder, if they need a bone marrow transplant or surgery, we provide care that treats the whole child with a focus on limiting any long-term effects. No matter your child’s age when diagnosed, we offer age-appropriate care and support to guide them as they grow.

Collaboration With UofL School of Medicine For Your Child’s Care

Norton Children’s Hospital serves as the primary pediatric teaching facility for the University of Louisville School of Medicine. These doctors are professors and active researchers helping to advance medical care in the 21st century through clinical research and education.

Norton Children’s Cancer Institute is a long-standing member of the Children’s Oncology Group, the world’s largest group of hospitals devoted to treating children with cancer. Our team, along with other Children’s Oncology Group hospitals, follow the same best practices and treatment regimens for childhood cancer treatment. This means your child will have access to treatment plans that other pediatric cancer facilities use, as well as the latest clinical trials to improve cure rates while decreasing possible long-term effects.

Our research team also is part of the Beat Childhood Cancer research consortium, a group of more than 40 universities and children’s hospitals that offer a worldwide network of childhood cancer clinical trials.
