Walter Clare’s planned gift to the Norton Children’s Hospital neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) will ensure that it remains a leader in the region for neonatal care.
His donation will assist the NICU in providing outstanding patient care, including through technology, new equipment and recruitment of physicians. Patients from Shelby County, Kentucky, also will have access to an assistance fund that will help with the travel, care and living expenses of their hospitalization.
There are many ways an individual or group can help through the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation. Gifts of time and dollars make a difference, no matter their size.
Walter’s compassionate generosity has made an immense impact on people going through difficult times. Walter has never shied away from an opportunity to lend a helping hand to someone in need. In addition to championing planned giving for the sake of patient assistance, he has supported the Louisville Zoo with charitable donations that have helped to maintain a beautiful environment for the people of our community to engage with the fascinating animals of our world.
Walter has built a legacy of empathy, kindness, perseverance and preservation. His passion for philanthropy already has created an abundance of positivity in the lives of others and will continue to do so for many years to come.
For all his efforts, Walter has been nominated by Norton Healthcare and recognized with the Baylor Landrum Jr. Leave a Legacy Award, from the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Louisville Chapter.
