You also can send a Valentine’s Day greeting for free through NortonChildrens.com/Valentine.

Both ways to show kids your support start on Feb. 1.

Stuffed animals purchased through this exclusive SendAFriend Valentine’s Day partnership will be delivered to patients at Norton Children’s Hospital at random on Feb. 12, along with the Valentine’s Day greeting cards. Purchasers of the SendAFriend packages will be able to choose which animal they would like to send. The animals offered match the animals pictured on the Valentine’s Day greeting cards!

In honor of American Heart Month in February, 10% of the proceeds from the purchases will be donated to the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation in support of patients and staff at Norton Children’s Heart Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine.

Each month, the SendAFriend donates 10% of its total sales to pediatric hospitals around the country.

Norton Children’s Hospital received a SendAFriend donation of $63,180 from the company’s sales in October 2020 through the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation. In addition to the financial donation, the company also donated 600 packages with stuffed animals to our patients in December 2020.

“We are so grateful for this generous donation,” said Lynnie Meyer, Ed.D., R.N., CFRE, senior vice president and chief development officer, Norton Healthcare. “Not only will the financial donation make a significant impact for the more than 185,000 patients that we serve each year, but the gift of stuffed animals to brighten our patients’ spirits over the holidays was so appreciated.”
