Despite the change in many of our daily routines during the COVID-19 pandemic, babies are still being born, and those newborns still need medical care. Our Norton Children’s Medical Associates offices are open and seeing patients, but in a manner that protects caregivers, patients and their families.
Norton Children’s Medical Associates pediatricians’ offices usually host a monthly “Newbie Night” event that allows soon-to-be new parents, those new to the area or in need of a new pediatrician to tour the office and meet our providers. The bond between you, your child and your child’s pediatrician or pediatric care provider is a special one. Your provider is a major source of information, advice and medical support that you will rely on as your child grows. Participating in a Newbie Night allows you to meet the staff and the providers at each location and ask questions.

During this time of social distancing, and for the safety of our patients, their families and our staff, we’ve suspended in-person Newbie Nights. However, many of our offices have recorded virtual Newbie Night tours for you to get to know the office and some of our providers!

Without leaving the comfort and safety of your home, you can learn what you can expect from a Norton Children’s Medical Associates provider and practice. When choosing a pediatric provider, you want to be sure the office hours fit your schedule, the provider accepts your insurance and that everyone shares the same views on overall care. These are all great questions to ask our pediatric providers. If you have questions about any one of our 24 office locations, please call that location to learn more.

We are open –– it’s safe for you and your child
For newborns and children under 2 years old, we want you and your child to come to the office for checkups and immunizations. We are taking extra precautions to keep families and our caregivers safe. Our waiting areas are closed; we are checking in patients via MyNortonChart or by phone while you wait in your vehicle. Be sure to call your office as you arrive. Only one parent/guardian caregiver may accompany a child back to exam room.
For our patients 2 and older, please call the office to discuss your child’s situation. Your provider will advise whether an in-person visit is required, or whether a telehealth virtual visit can be scheduled instead. If you have any questions about upcoming well-child or immunizations for your older children, discuss your options with your provider.
