More than 200 kids swam, ran and biked in the second annual COOL Kids Triathlon, presented by Norton Children’s Orthopedics of Louisville, on Saturday, June 10, at Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
The event featured age-appropriate distances for children ages 6 to 14 and is modeled after a full-distance triathlon with professional staging equipment and official chip timing. However, the goal is to encourage kids to be active, try new sports and finish the race — not focus on times.
