Known for his quick wit, willingness to try anything once and his locks of hair, Jesse Rasmussen with 106.9 Morning Play is offering up his hair in exchange for his team raising $5,000 for Chili’s® Clip for Kids.

“I like my hair; it’s a part of my identity both on air and off air,” Rasmussen said. “But it’s time to show my solidarity with the kids fighting cancer. I’m excited to be raising money and awareness for the patients.”

Rasmussen’s challenge has him a bit nervous. In fact, we obtained this never-before-seen video of him fixing his hair.

“Jesse spends more time and effort on his hair than I do on mine,” said M.J., Rasmussen’s co-host on 106.9 Morning Play. “So for him to agree to sacrifice his hair is a huge deal. And it’s a fun way for us to demonstrate our tremendous support for these kids.”

Help Rasmussen meet his goal and shave his hair by making a donation to his team. Then be sure to join us on Sunday, May 21, as we transform Fourth Street Live! into Chili’s Clip for Kids headquarters. Watch as eight licensed stylists clip, trim and shave hair, and join in the fun with live music, a Chili’s fun zone with arts and crafts, face painting and a photo booth. The festivities start at 2 p.m.

The Addison Jo Blair Cancer Care Center at Norton Children’s Hospital had 600 pediatric cancer admissions last year. And for kids fighting cancer, losing their hair is just one part of their journey. Chili’s Clip for Kids challenges you to raise funds in return for clipping, trimming or shaving your hair in a show of support with kids fighting cancer in our community. One hundred percent of the funds raised stay right here in our community.

Are you ready for the challenge? To get started you can register as an individual or form a team. Visit ClipForKids.org to get started. Once you’re registered, share your goal with others and encourage them to donate or join your team.
