Community members have an opportunity to send children who are patients at Norton Children’s facilities a Valentine’s Day greeting. The greetings can be selected at NortonChildrens.com/Valentine.

From Feb. 1 to 10, 2022, people can choose from seven different Valentine’s Day cards with heartfelt messages on the front and fun kids’ activities on the back. The valentines will be printed and hand-delivered to patients at random on Feb. 14 to celebrate Valentine’s Day at Norton Children’s Hospital, the pediatric areas of Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital, Norton Children’s Medical Center and Novak Center for Children’s Health.

In addition to the printed Valentine’s Day greeting, community members also can gift a stuffed animal for a monetary donation.

“We are excited to offer the Valentine’s Day greetings and the opportunity of gifting a ‘SendAFriend,’ a stuffed animal with a special message of encouragement,” said Lynnie Meyer, Ed.D., R.N., CFRE, senior vice president and chief development officer, Norton Healthcare. “The success of last year’s ‘SendAFriend’ program provided so many smiles to our patients, and we are so appreciative of the community’s generosity.”

Stuffed animals purchased through this exclusive SendAFriend Valentine’s Day offer will be delivered to patients at Norton Children’s Hospital at random on Feb. 14, along with the Valentine’s cards. In honor of American Heart Month, 10% from purchases also will be donated to the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation to support patients and staff at Norton Children’s Heart Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine.
