Norton Children’s Fetal Care Center brings together pregnancy and fetal specialists, advanced imaging and family support services in one location for advanced care when your baby is diagnosed with a serious condition before birth. The family-centric care is designed to help parents and caregivers navigate every step of their journey, from diagnosis during pregnancy through delivery and the child’s ongoing care after birth.

Directly across from Norton Children’s Hospital, the center includes advanced diagnostic rooms, family rooms, a nourishment room, provider workspaces and meeting space where families can sit down with multiple specialists at one time. With the goal of serving families from across Kentucky and the region, the center also houses technology allowing patients, family members and community physicians to participate in consultations virtually.
If a routine prenatal ultrasound has revealed a heart defect or other medical condition requiring specialized treatment before or immediately after birth, the center is designed to make your experience easier. Families are surrounding by a multidisciplinary team dedicated to both mother and baby. The team includes maternal-fetal medicine specialists, pediatric subspecialists, genetic counselors, social workers and nurse navigators who can diagnose, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care.
Norton Children’s Fetal Care Center is located on the seventh floor of the Children’s Hospital Foundation Building, at the corner of East Chestnut and South Floyd streets in downtown Louisville. The building is diagonally across from Norton Children’s Hospital.
Valet parking is available at the Floyd Street entrance. Garage parking is available at Norton Children’s Hospital at Floyd Street and Abraham Flexner Way, and Norton Healthcare Pavilion on Gray Street between South Floyd and South Preston streets.
TARC Routes 19 and 21 stop on Chestnut Street.
Copays or fees are typically due at the time of service. If you have insurance, your copay amount will depend on your plan. For self-pay patients, the cost of a visit typically ranges from $100 to $250, depending on the services provided. There may be additional charges for services such as lab tests or X-rays.
