Before his sweet arrival, Leeland’s parents knew he would be a warrior. He was diagnosed with two life-threatening conditions during pregnancy, and the family knew he would require months of critical care in the Norton Children’s Hospital neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Leeland spent nine months in the NICU receiving comprehensive medical care, and his family experienced a sense of true community and support.
Today, Leeland is a 6-year-old full of life and joy, thanks to the expertise of the NICU team, the unwavering faith of his family, ongoing multidisciplinary care at Norton Children’s and support for his care through the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation.
