About Norton Children’s Medical Group – Jeffersonville

Norton Children’s Medical Group – Jeffersonville offers pediatric care designed “Just for Kids” — from newborns to teens. Our board-certified pediatricians provide personalized, family-centered care to help your child grow healthy and strong.

We offer a full range of pediatric services, including:

  • Well-child exams and childhood immunizations
  • Same-day sick visits and minor pediatric urgent care
  • Newborn care, including state-required screenings
  • Adolescent health care and school-age support
  • Developmental, hearing and vision screenings
  • Chronic condition management, including asthma care and lung-function testing
  • Sports, school and camp physicals
  • Behavioral health, nutrition guidance and growth monitoring with on-site behavioral health providers in select locations
  • On-site lab work and minor injury care (cuts, scrapes, etc.)

Our location offers convenient access to care, with same-day appointments available for existing patients, evening hours and Saturday morning visits. As part of Norton Children’s, we make it easy to connect with top pediatric specialists across a wide range of services when additional care is needed.

Please bring the following items to help us provide the best care:

    • Photo ID (for the parent or guardian)

    • Current insurance card(s), if applicable

    • Form of payment (credit/debit card or cash for any copays or fees)

    • Medication list: Include all medications your child is taking, with dosages

    • Relevant medical records (especially if you’re new or changing providers)

    • Legal documentation of guardianship, if it has changed since your last visit

You also can upload many of these documents before your appointment through your child’s free Norton MyChart account.

We accept Medicare, Medicaid and most major commercial insurance plans. If you’re unsure about your coverage, view our insurance information here or call us for assistance.

Typically, copays or fees are due at the time of service. The amount will depend on your insurance plan. We also offer payment plans and financial assistance for families who qualify. If you need help with billing or financial assistance options, call Norton Healthcare customer service at:

That’s OK! Bring what you have, and our front desk staff can help guide you. You typically have 30 days after birth to enroll your newborn in your plan.

You can view and download medical records anytime through your child’s Norton MyChart account. If you need printed records or a doctor’s note, please request one during your visit or call our office.

You may request one through your child’s Norton MyChart account or ask the front desk prior to leaving your appointment.

Test results typically are available through Norton MyChart. If you have proxy access to your child’s account, you will receive a notification when results are ready.

Norton eCare offers 24/7 access to Norton Healthcare providers for nonurgent concerns via your mobile device or computer through Norton MyChart. Norton eCare is able to treat patients ages 2 and older located in Kentucky or Indiana.

If there has been a change in guardianship, please bring the legal documentation to your next appointment so we can update your child’s records accordingly.

Yes, we offer sports and school physicals. We have standard Kentucky preventative health care exam forms and Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) sports physical forms in our offices. If you need other forms signed for a specific school or program, you will need to bring those forms with you.

Yes, we carry standard WIC forms for:

  • Infants under 1 year old
  • Children ages 1 to 5

If your program requires a specific form, please bring that with you.

We recommend completing paperwork ahead of time through your child’s Norton MyChart account. This helps reduce your wait time and ensure your child is seen promptly. We may need some minor additional paperwork when you arrive, for our records.

Many locations offer same-day appointments for existing patients through your child’s Norton MyChart account. We may not be able to accept walk-ins. It’s best to call ahead or check online scheduling through your child’ Norton MyChart account.

If your child becomes ill with a minor illness after normal business hours, you can:

  • Contact our after-hours line by calling the practice.
  • Seek after-hours care at one of our after-hours locations.
  • Seek urgent care with Norton Healthcare by scheduling a virtual visit via Norton eCare for patients ages 2 and older or visiting a Norton Immediate Care Center or Norton Prompt Care location.

 

You may call our office, schedule online or log into your child’s Norton MyChart account if you are an existing patient.

Our pediatricians care for children from birth through young adulthood, typically up to age 18 or 21, depending on your provider.
