September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Help Norton Children’s Cancer Institute honor children and families fighting cancer.

Kids’ cancer diagnoses haven’t stopped during the COVID-19 pandemic and neither has their fight.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the time of the year when Norton Children’s Cancer Institute, affiliated with UofL School of Medicine, shines a light on our star patients, families, employees and providers.

Norton Children’s Cancer Institute is the premier pediatric cancer care institute in Kentucky. More than 200 children receive care from one of our locations each year, and we see patients from across Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

“Go Gold with our Shining Stars” by participating in our Shining Star Challenge!

Shining Star Challenge offers two ways to participate:

1. Light up our treatment areas! — For a minimum $5 donation, you can sponsor a gold star that will be displayed with your name on it for our patients and staff to see and know that they are not fighting cancer alone. Visit GoGoldforNortonChildrens.com to donate a star!
2. Show us your shining stars! — Decorate yourselves or sidewalks with a gold or star theme and post a picture to social media using #GoGoldforNortonChildrens. Use our Go Gold coloring sheet if you need inspiration!

The stars will be displayed at the following locations of Norton Children’s Cancer Institute:

• The Addison Jo Blair Cancer Care Center at Norton Children’s Hospital
• Norton Children’s Cancer Institute Outpatient Clinic
• Norton Children’s Infusion Center
