Three-year-old Zoey Keipp is all smiles during her visits with Brian J. Holland, M.D., pediatric cardiologist with Norton Children’s Heart Institute.
The pediatric heart specialists at Norton Children’s Heart Institute in Paducah, Kentucky, work in collaboration with your local pediatrician and other health care providers.
Your child and their heart condition are unique. We think their bond with their cardiologist should be, too. Our specialists see patients at the same locations so you can schedule appointments with the same provider at each visit.
Because kids with heart conditions can grow up to be healthy and active adults, the physicians with our accredited Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program see patients at the Paducah location as well.
We use fetal echocardiography, commonly referred to as a “fetal echo,” to diagnose congenital heart defects prior to birth. Detecting a congenital heart defect early — before your baby is born — can help you and your health care providers prepare.
This noninvasive tool uses ultrasound waves to evaluate an unborn baby’s heart, usually during the second or third trimester.
The fetal echo data is immediately transmitted from Paducah to Norton Children’s Heart Institute in Louisville, where our board-certified pediatric cardiologists interpret it and provide timely care recommendations.
