Where do I park?
Festival of Trees & Lights parking is available all around the stadium. The main lot, which is free of charge, is next to Louisville Slugger Field at 401 E. Main St., at the Jackson Street and Main Street intersection.
Where do I enter?
The only entrance to the Festival of Trees & Lights is through the Jackson Street doors of Louisville Slugger Field. Guests cannot access the event from Main or Preston streets.
Why have admission prices increased this year?
As of July 1, 2018, House Bill 487, enacted by the 2018 General Assembly, requires nonprofit organizations to include a six percent sales tax on all event tickets. The increase in ticket prices includes sales tax.
What activities are included with admission?
Every guest will enjoy the tree, wreath and Hanukkah displays, holiday entertainment on the festival stage and Louisville’s first appearance of Santa, plus a take-home photo included with the price of admission. Holiday crafts, including gingerbread cookie decorating, dreidel game and temporary tattoos are free for children 12 and under.
On the Friday night of Festival of Trees & Lights, a fireworks show with cider and hot chocolate is free for guests.
What are the hours for Festival Family Night on Friday night?
While the special festivities officially kick-off at 6 p.m., guests who arrive earlier are welcome to stay and enjoy the fun. Indoor activities close at 8:45 p.m. and guests are invited outside for complementary hot chocolate, cider and a fireworks extravaganza until 9 p.m. Please note lines for activities, such as pictures with Santa or train rides, may close as early as 8:30 to ensure all guests in the queue will be able to complete the activity before fireworks begin.
Do you still offer a family discount for Friday night?
We will no longer offer the family discount during Festival Family Night on the Friday evening of the Festival of Trees & Lights. Families are encouraged to purchase advance tickets online and take advantage of the free ticket offer.
What should I do if I am a guest with special needs?
At the Festival of Trees & Lights we aim to make the experience of each guest as memorable and enjoyable as possible. If you or a family member need some extra help while visiting the event, please let us know by calling 502-212-2589 during event hours and we will do what we can to accommodate your needs.
For smaller crowds and easier accessibility, plan to visit Friday during the day or Sunday morning.
Is the event outdoors?
The majority of the Festival of Trees & Lights takes place in the indoor corridor of Slugger Field. Restrooms and Elf Town are located outdoors along the covered stadium concourse.
What is Elf Town?
Elf Town is an outdoor attraction featuring several activities, “snow” ball toss, inflatable obstacle course and more! Elf Town admission is $3 for unlimited access for the day.
Do adults need a ticket to ride the train?
Adults riding with a child that requires assistance, such as children ages two and under, ride free with child’s ticket. Tickets are $1 per ride or included (unlimited) with the gold pass.
What is a gold pass?
The $5 gold pass wristband, issued at the event, allows for unlimited access to Elf Town and train rides for the day.
How do I buy a tree or other decorated item?
All trees, wreaths and decorated items are available for purchase either at the event or by calling 502-212-2589 during event hours. The event will include an auction of a small selection of large trees. Bids can be placed in person or online at FestivalOfTreesAndLights.org until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov.11.
When can I pick-up my purchased item?
Sold items remain on display for the duration of the event. Details regarding pick-up and delivery will be provided with purchase, but plan to pick-up or receive your item(s) the Monday following Festival of Trees & Lights.
Is this event a fundraiser?
Yes, in 29 years the Festival of Trees & Lights has raised nearly $8 million for Norton Children’s Hospital through the Children’s Hospital Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, money raised from ticket sales, trees and greenery, and the purchase of activities and other items at the event goes directly to Norton Children’s Hospital.

What is new to the 2018 event?
Each year our Festival of Trees & Lights committee dreams up new ways to make the event special. This year, look for a new activity in Elf Town, a visit from Mrs. Clause on Festival Family Night, gingerbread cookie decorating and the opportunity to purchase decorations without the tree for a discounted price on select large trees.
